About Me

Selling Your Home

When I was a kid, my parents decided to sell the small brick home we lived in. Unfortunately, they didn’t receive any high offers for the house. Because I don’t ever want to experience the difficulties selling a house that my parents did, I’ve researched home improvements homeowners can make to add value to their properties before placing them on the market. A great remodeling project to undertake before selling a home is installing new windows. New windows can add value by improving both the appearance and energy efficiency of a home. On this blog, I hope you will discover the benefits of installing new windows in your home before attempting to sell it. Enjoy!

Have rain drop windows added

If you are looking for some creative window ideas for your bathroom, then you might want to have some windows installed in the bathroom that are shaped like rain drops. You can have a few windows installed in this shape that are close to one another. The fact that the windows are shaped like raindrops will add to the overall look of the bathroom. One thing to keep in mind is you may want to have these raindrop shaped windows installed higher on the walls or on a wall that isn't in the main area of the bathroom. Have long and short windows added

If you are looking for a way to add a lot of light into your basement, then you may want to have very long windows installed along the top part of the basement where they will let in a lot of sunshine. Try to have the windows installed as far up the walls as possible, so they will stay cleaner. When you have windows installed close to the ground in the basement, then they will get very dusty and dirty, leaving you needing to clean them often. When the windows are very long, but short enough to keep them far away from the ground, they will let in plenty of light and you won't have to clean them as often.

Have special shaped windows installed in main areas

You can have any shape of windows installed around the house. This can be a very unique way for you to use the actual shape of your windows as another aspect of the décor. For example, if you are decorating your home in a western theme, then you can have a window installed that is in the shape of a horse or even a horseshoe. You can even opt to have a few windows installed that come in shapes like cowboy boots, hats, or a cactus.
